Banner Campaigns & Promobars

Overview

Banner campaigns and promobars are powerful tools for highlighting special offers, discounts, and campaigns on the ConversionBuddy landing page. This guide explains what information is needed to set up effective promotional elements for marketing activities.

Banner campaigns make it possible to display targeted promotional content in various formats on the ConversionBuddy landing page. For an optimal implementation, the following information is required:

Required Information

  1. Campaign duration:

    • Active from: start date and time (e.g. 01.06.2025 00:00)
    • Active until: end date and time (e.g. 30.06.2025 23:59)
  2. Campaign name: A descriptive name for the campaign (e.g. SummerSale2025)

  3. Promo code: If applicable, the discount code customers should use

  4. Target URL: The landing page customers are redirected to after clicking the banner (e.g. https://www.example-shop.com/sale)

  5. Banner designs: Banner designs are required in all three formats for comprehensive coverage:

    • Mobile banner: optimized for display on mobile devices
    • Leaderboard banner: standard horizontal banner for desktop view
    • Large leaderboard banner: extended horizontal banner for prominent placement

For optimal display on all devices, banners should be provided in the following dimensions:

Promobars

Promobars appear as horizontal notification bars, typically at the top of the ConversionBuddy landing page, to announce special offers or important information.

Required Information

  1. Campaign duration:

    • Active from: start date and time
    • Active until: end date and time
  2. Promotion name: A descriptive name for the promotion

  3. Promo code configuration:

    • If controlled via URL parameter (cb.pmo), please provide details
    • Voucher/discount code to be displayed (if applicable)
  4. Target URL: If the promotion should link to a specific landing page in the shop

  5. Promobar content:

    • Text message (e.g. "Free shipping on all orders until July 15")
    • Color scheme preferences (if any)
    • Call-to-action button text (if applicable)

Design Recommendations

For promobars, we recommend: - Clear, concise messages (recommended maximum length: 70 characters) - High-contrast colors for better visibility - Mobile-optimized text that remains easy to read on smaller screens

Submission Process

To ensure timely implementation of promotional campaigns, all required materials and information should be submitted at least 3 business days before the planned start date.

  1. Send all banner images and promotion details to campaign@conversionbuddy.com
  2. The team configures the campaign in the system (as shown in the configuration screenshots)
  3. A preview link is provided for approval before the campaign goes live

Below are examples of how the information is configured in the system:

  • Campaign name: SummerSale2025
  • Duration: 01.06.2025 00:00 to 30.06.2025 23:59
  • Target URL: https://www.example-shop.com/summersale
  • Format: three banner sizes (mobile, leaderboard, large leaderboard)
  • Message: 15% OFF THE SUMMER COLLECTION

Promobar Example:

  • Campaign: free shipping promotion
  • Duration: Until 15.07.2025, 23:59
  • Promo code: SUMMER15
  • Message: SUMMER FUN: Free shipping on orders over €30 – code: SUMMER15
