Cookie Usage

ConversionBuddy does not set any cookies in regular operation. By default, the platform works completely cookieless and does not require visitor consent via a cookie banner/consent manager.

A/B Test Cookie (optional)

As part of A/B tests, a technically necessary cookie can optionally be used. This cookie serves exclusively to ensure the correct execution of the test.

• Cookie name: cb_sta
• Purpose: Ensures the distribution between the test variants (A/B distribution) and makes sure that the same variant is executed on a repeat visit within the cookie's lifetime.
• Lifetime: 14 days
• Setting: The cookie is only set when a visitor participates in the A/B test and no A/B test cookie exists in the browser yet.

Cookie Banner and Privacy

Since ConversionBuddy runs on a subdomain of the shop and the A/B test cookie is classified as technically necessary, ConversionBuddy does not need to be explicitly mentioned in the cookie banner. The cookie is only used for the duration of an active A/B test.
